network performance KPI's

The KPIs provides information regarding the network quality and utilization. A KPI can be a simple counter generated in the network element, MSS or MGW, or it can be a formula combining several counters. Every KPI is explained with its relevant counter, their measurement and the formula.

The appropriate time selection (hourly, daily, BH) for any KPI varies based on actual usage of the KPI report. For some KPIs daily total values are appropriate, for some KPIs BH values are appropriate and for some KPIs both values are of importance. Appropriate time selections are indicated for each KPI.

Recommendations values for KPIs can be change depending on the local network and its environment, growth and customer requirements.

Network Usage
This category purpose is to monitor the overall subscribers and traffic handled by the R4 CS Core Network

Element Usage
This category purpose is to monitor the usage of the installed base of equipments to verify equipments and registers capacities adequacy

Traffic Loads
This category purpose is to monitor connection loads and needs for extension.

Service usage
This category purpose is to monitor the usage of the different services offered to the subscribers

Performance
This category purpose is to monitor the performances of the network.

AvailabilityThis category purpose is to monitor the availability of the resources of the system parts and links
