Parma continue their slide down the table after they made it 6 games without a win, going down 2-1 to Palermo yesterday evening at Renzo Barbera stadium.
First chance of the match fell to Palermo as Fabrizio Miccoli was charged down at the penalty spot to send his shot into orbit. Javier Pastore also had a chance to open the scoring but likewise sent his effort over with the first half ending goaless.
The deadlock was broken on the hour when Edison Cavani rose to meet a Miccoli cross from the left to blast his header into the top corner leaving Mirante rooted to the spot.
Parma equalised 15 minutes later when Biabiany carried on play with Cavani down injured to run the pitch and beat Sirigu with an angled drive into the bottom far corner.
Palermo were desperate to restore their lead as Cassani saw his effort get tipped around the post by Mirante and Cavani trying another glancing header that narrowly missed the top corner.
However it was former Parma man and Palermo substitute Fabio Simplicio that gave Palermo the winning goal meeting a Miccoli cutback across the area to blast it into the top corner past a helpless Mirante.
